A good monitor is a joy to use; it makes the everyday working or using your device at a desktop an enjoyable experience. So don’t underestimate the choice of a monitor. My advice is always to invest a decent amount of money in a good display.
Aim at least for a midrange product, best if it’s tending towards the top models. Why? Because it’s your eyes, your productivity, your overall daily experience that matters! After all, a monitor will last you a long time, so invest wisely in it.
I follow monitor trends and I’ve decided to dedicate constant updates to market news in display industry. Here is a selection of excellent monitors, especially regarding color accuracy and specs, both for Macs and PCs.

Monitors to watch for in 2026
BenQ MA270UP

This monitor is the glossy version of an already existing monitor form BenQ. It’s a 4K, 27-inch monitor, bright and curated in design. The technology is an advanced IPS LCD, with very accurate colors and above-average brightness. It’s advertised for being a perfect companion for Mac computers, because it has some features like matching color profiles, brightens, etc., with your Mac. The sync happens through an app, when the monitor is connected with USB. However, it’s great also if connected with a normal PC. There’s also HDMI connectivity and usb-c power delivery for example for a smartphone.
